Missionaries of the Month - April 2026

Taylor & Katherine Dix — Bulgaria (MTW)

Taylor and Katherine Dix serve with Mission to the World in Sofia, Bulgaria, where they are engaged in church planting and ministry among underserved communities. Taylor sensed a call to missions through early ministry experiences in Memphis and later served in Bulgaria before completing his M.Div. at Covenant Theological Seminary. Katherine has served in Bulgaria since 2012, focusing on church revitalization and her work with the Spring of Hope foundation, which equips churches to care for those affected by trafficking and exploitation. She also provides counseling for individuals impacted by trauma and addiction.

As they prepare to return to Bulgaria, the Dixes have been invited to help replant a church in a Roma neighborhood that has been closed for over a decade. They plan to live in the community, building relationships and ministering to children and families through weekly programs and discipleship.

Prayer Requests:

  • Final monthly support needed before returning to Bulgaria

  • Safe travels and smooth transitions

  • Fruitful ministry as they step into church replanting and community life

Note: The Dixes will be visiting Trinity on April 12!

The Navigators — University of Alabama

Edgar & Jessica Voltz & Kathryn Rigsby

The Navigators is a campus ministry at the University of Alabama focused on helping students know Christ, grow in their faith, and make Him known. Through small group Bible studies, one-on-one discipleship, and large group gatherings, the Navigators seek to build meaningful relationships and equip students to live out the gospel in every area of life.

The Voltz family and Kathryn Rigsby are part of this ministry, investing in students through intentional discipleship and community. Their work helps students develop a strong foundation in Christ during their college years and prepares them to carry the gospel into their future vocations and communities.

Prayer Requests:

  • Deep, growing faith among students

  • Strong discipleship relationships and leadership development

  • Opportunities to share the gospel across campus

Missionaries of the Month - March 2026

Each month, our Missions Committee highlights the missionaries Trinity supports so our church family can know them, pray for them, and see how God is at work through your giving.

The Pervis Family – Serving in Athens, Greece

David and Erin Pervis have devoted more than two decades to cross-cultural ministry and church planting in Eastern Europe. After serving from 1999–2012 on a church-planting team in Sofia, Bulgaria, and from 2012–2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine, they began a new season of ministry in 2018 in Athens, Greece.

Today, they partner with a Greek evangelical church in an Athens suburb, ministering primarily to Middle Eastern refugee families. Through English lessons, Bible studies, and special gatherings at Voula House, they build relationships that open doors for gospel conversations and long-term discipleship. What often begins as language instruction becomes an opportunity for refugees to ask honest spiritual questions and encounter the hope of Christ.

In addition to refugee ministry, David and Erin support the growth of Glyfada Church and emerging church plants in Pangrati and Nea Smyrni. They assist with worship, outreach efforts, and partnerships that serve vulnerable communities in the city, including anti-trafficking initiatives.

Prayer Requests

  • That Bible studies and English lessons at Voula House would strengthen believers and draw others to Christ

  • That Glyfada Church and new church plants would grow in maturity and fruitfulness

  • That God would provide endurance, wisdom, and continued language growth for David and Erin

  • That their family would reflect Christ wherever they live, work, and serve

We are grateful for the long obedience and steady faithfulness the Pervis family has demonstrated over many years of ministry.

Unbound 216 – Local Ministry Partner

Unbound 216 is a faith-based transitional care ministry committed to walking with men during incarceration and continuing intensive discipleship after release. Their approach is rooted in long-term gospel transformation rather than short-term assistance alone.

While men are still inside prison, Unbound 216 builds relationships and provides spiritual mentorship. After release, that discipleship continues through accountability, life-skills development, church connection, and community support. The goal is not only successful reentry, but lives reshaped by Christ — spiritually, relationally, and vocationally.

This month’s Alms Offering supports the work of Unbound 216, and our Mercy Committee will match donations dollar-for-dollar.

In addition to financial support, we are collecting the following items throughout March to encourage and equip men in the program:

  • Full-size toothpaste (4 oz or larger)

  • Plain white crew socks (no logos or markings)

  • Full-size candy bars

  • 6-pack snack crackers

  • Individually wrapped 2-cookie packs

Thank you for helping extend Christ’s mercy in tangible and transformational ways within our own community.

Dory Palmer – Young Life (Local Campus Ministry)

Dory Palmer serves with Young Life reaching middle and high school students in our community through clubs, small groups, mentoring relationships, and camp trips. Young Life builds consistent relationships with students and walks alongside them as they explore faith and life with Jesus.

Prayer Requests

  • That students would come to know Jesus through clubs, campaigners groups, and summer camp experiences.

  • Continued favor with school administrators, teachers, coaches, and parents for access into local middle and high schools.

  • Training and placement of 50–60 college freshmen who will begin serving as new Young Life leaders this spring.

  • Prayer for Dory’s staff team: Jake Maddox, Jackson Wilkin, Avyion Cooley, Liz Cain, and their student staff.

Julian & Rachel Bacon – Mission to the World | Brussels, Belgium

Julian and Rachel Bacon serve with Mission to the World planting Hope Church Brussels, an international Presbyterian church in Belgium. Since launching public worship in 2023, the church has grown steadily and now welcomes around 120 people on a typical Sunday, with approximately 140 people calling Hope Church their home congregation.

The church continues to focus on leadership development, discipleship for all ages, and outreach into the surrounding community. They are also taking significant steps toward purchasing a permanent worship space in Brussels.

Prayer Requests

  • Wisdom and faithfulness as they train new elders and future deacons for church leadership.

  • Provision for the remaining funds needed to purchase a permanent worship space.

  • Growth and clarity for their pastoral intern serving through May 2026 as he discerns a call to ministry.

  • Continued spiritual maturity and unity among members and home Bible study groups.

  • Fruit from outreach efforts, including Vacation Bible School and recent new members.
