Missionaries of the Month - October 2026
Each month, our Missions Committee highlights missionaries and ministry partners Trinity supports so that our church family can know them, pray for them, and see how God is at work through their ministry. This month, we’re highlighting: Jennifer Waddell with Athletes in Action and Tony and Tracy Boyd, serving with One Challenge in Southeast Asia. We’re grateful for the ways God is using them to make disciples, equip leaders, and share the gospel around the world.
Jennifer Waddell — Athletes in Action
Jennifer Waddell, a member of Trinity, serves with Athletes in Action, where she currently serves as the national intern director for Ultimate Training Camp and as an intern director at the Colorado camp. She also serves on the UTC executive team.
This summer, Jennifer and her team equipped, trained, and prayed for 74 college interns at Ultimate Training Camps in Colorado and Minnesota. She also worked with the Alumni Intern group at the Minnesota camp, investing in former interns who returned for a third year to serve alongside the camp staff.
This fall, she is following up with interns, alumni interns, and campers, helping them with discipleship and Bible studies. She is also beginning the process of recruiting interns and alumni interns for summer 2027 while helping develop and implement a new application system for future interns.
Please pray for Jennifer:
Pray for the new intern and alumni intern application system as it is prepared to launch.
Pray for wisdom as Jennifer trains new intern directors.
Pray for athletes on campuses without AIA staff who are seeking discipleship.
Pray for the camp executive team to be dependent on the Lord as they plan, pray, and prepare for overseas and stateside camps this year.
Pray for the interns, alumni interns, and athletes Jennifer is following up with this fall.
Tony & Tracy Boyd — One Challenge
Tony and Tracy Boyd have served with One Challenge in Southeast Asia for the past twelve years. They are currently spending an extended season in the United States before returning to their ministry overseas.
During this season, they are grateful for opportunities to rest, reconnect with friends and ministry partners, invest in other global workers, and spend time with family. They continue to look ahead to the work God has given them in Southeast Asia, particularly in gospel coaching, member care, mentoring, and leadership development.
Please pray:
for Tony and Tracy as they navigate this season of transition for their family
for wisdom as they look ahead to returning overseas
for the leaders and global workers they are able to encourage and equip through their ministry.
