David Driskill, Youth Pastor- email
David Driskill

I grew up in Gadsden, AL and after graduating high school, I moved to the big city to attend Birmingham-Southern College.  Athletics have always played a big part in my life and I was fortunate enough to play baseball in college.  Upon graduating from Birmingham-Southern, I spent the next three years working in the Office of Admissions there.  During that time, I also began volunteering with the youth group at Oak Mountain Presbyterian, where I had been attending since coming to Birmingham.  In the fall of 2005, I enrolled at Beeson Divinity School on the campus of Samford University, working towards a Master's of Divinity.  I have spent the past 3 summers working with Sacred Road Ministries on the Yakama Indian Reservation in the state of Washington.  (The photo is of my Yakama "niece" and myself).  I graduated this past December with a Master's of Divinity (Praise the Lord!).

My parents still reside in Gadsden.  I have an older brother who is married and has two daughters and needless to say, I am a proud uncle!  My younger brother graduated from the University of Alabama in August and is currently attending culinary school in Charlotte, NC.  As already mentioned, I love sports.  I love both watching and playing them.  I also enjoy watching movies, reading, hiking/backpacking, fishing, and hanging out with friends and family.

I am thrilled to be joining Trinity's family!  I have received such a wonderful welcome and God has already confirmed that this is where He has called me.  I am really excited to be leading our youth group as we seek to raise up Godly young men and women who love the Lord and others.

Rev. Steve Johnson, Assistant Pastor

Steve and his wife Heather have been members at Trinity for almost 15 years and have served full-time for 7 of those years.  Prior to joining the staff they served with  Campus Crusade for Christ at universities in Alabama (UA for 10 years) and Mississippi (MSU for 3 years and USM for 4).  Steve currently works in the areas of Adult Education, Men's Ministry, and Assimilation.  He is a 1985 Graduate of Western Kentucky University.  Steve and Heather have been married for 22 years.

They have 4 children: Erin (18), Hannah and Lauren (15), and Hunter (13).  Living in Tuscaloosa, AL where football is King...Steve will gladly tell you that he loves football, but the best part of football season is that it signals about 9 weeks until college basketball starts.  He loves playing and watching basketball and doing just about anything with people.
