How to Help Minister the Gospel in Deed in Tuscaloosa
The devastating tornado of April 27, 2011 provided unique opportunities to reach our neighbors in Tuscaloosa. Trinity Church has been prayerfully seeking God's will and direction as we respond to the many needs exposed by this disaster. The outpouring of support and help from outside our community has been amazing but there is still much that can be done. There are a number of ways that you can help and serve.
The first and most important thing you can do is pray. Jeremiah 29:7 offers us clear guidance in helping to rebuild our city and proclaim the gospel in word and deed. "Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."
Secondly, give... you may send your checks to fund relief efforts to: Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5518 Rice Mine Road N.E., Tuscaloosa, AL 35406. In the memo line, write Tornado Relief. You may also give online to our Tornado relief efforts. This can be done by using the "Donate" button below for a secure transaction. If you have questions, you can call Lisa Snead at 205-391-2111 or email her at Lisa's Email
Third, come to Tuscaloosa. We are currently hosting short-term teams. If you are interested in bringing a work team to help with the recovery efforts, you can find information by clicking on the link below.
May the Lord richly bless you for thinking about and praying for us in these days. Thankfully we have a city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God (Hebrews 11:10) - the heavenly Jerusalem that is completely free from sin, sorrow, sickness, disease, disaster, and death.
