Lean In | Keeshan Crow

Each month, we take time to get to know some of our church members just a little bit better. We hope this short interview allows you to lean-in and helps us all know one another better and grow together as a body of believers.

Tell us a little bit about you and your family.

Norman and I have been married for 20 years. We met and got married when we were both living in Atlanta, then moved to Houston. We have lived in Tuscaloosa for the last 15 years. Norman is originally from Tuscaloosa, and I grew up in Arkansas. We have 3 kids - Norman III (19 - Sophomore) attends the University of Alabama and works with the Alabama basketball team as a manager. Madeleine (17 - Senior) and Meredith (14 - Freshman) both attend Northridge High School.

Can you share one way that God has been faithful to you recently or something he is teaching you?

The Lord has been faithful to us by bringing us back to Trinity. Trinity is an amazing body of Christ, and we love being apart of this church. One of Trinity's strengths is that it lives out the verse: 1 Thes. 2:8b "Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well."

What is your favorite family tradition?

Most of our extended family gathers at our house each year for Thanksgiving. The day is full of eating, playing outside, and watching football. We love having a place where everyone knows they are welcome every year.

What are some small things that make your day better?

I am an early riser and hardly miss a sunrise; it's my favorite time of the day. I love to drink coffee, pray, read and study my Bible, and walk my dogs. If I ever miss this time, my day feels a little off.

What’s something you like to do the old-fashioned way?

Birthdays! I have always made homemade birthday cakes for my kids. Their request is always butter cake, cream cheese frosting and mini chocolate chips in the middle or a decorated chocolate chip cookie cake.

What book impacted you the most?

A Woman After God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George. I have read it over and over again. It taught me so much about being a wife and a mother.

What is one thing on your "bucket-list"?

I would love to go to Israel one day. I love hearing people talk about how the Bible comes alive when you can walk where Jesus walked and see all the historical sites, the temple mount and the beauty of the region.

What are three things you are loving?

I love Alabama football season and how Alabama basketball season seamlessly follows it. I also love the Christmas season and how January brings new beginnings and fresh starts.

What are you reading or have you recently read?

I am always reading something. For fiction, one of my favorite authors is Charles Martin. He has recently written a non-fiction book called, What IF It's True? that I am slowly working through. Also, I love Joel Rosenberg, and I am reading The Persian Gamble.
