Small Group Opportunities for Winter 2021
Our church is a family and when one of us struggles we need the support of those around us. Every marriage struggles and every married couple can grow more deeply in love with each other and more supportive of those around them. The more strong relationships (and in this case marriages) we have in our church, the stronger we will be for one another and our community.
Our offering of the Allender Center Marriage Course will be a 10 week small group experience led by Richard and Amy Vise. We hope that it has the feel of a more in depth marriage conference among friends getting to know one another better. There will be videos and reflection questions in preparation for each meeting. The prep work will enable all to keep up if anyone has to miss a week.

Emotionally Healthy Relationship Course:
This winter Pastor Bill James will be leading one of our core discipleship courses: Emotionally Healthy Relationships (EHR). The course gets rave revues as profound, engaging, transformative in participants own lives, and in their relationships with others.
EHR involves weekly homework for the 8 weeks of the course. We’ll meet 8 Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30pm, in-person, distanced seating, and masked in the Sanctuary. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, January 19 and we’ll conclude Tuesday, March 9. The church offers a childcare stipend for parents who arrange their own childcare at their homes. We promise to adhere to safety protocols for the entirety of each of our gatherings. (Unfortunately we are unable to offer the course online.)
Please consider choosing to participate this winter!

The fact is, by God’s design, the Holy Spirit accomplishes significant spiritual growth in our lives via small groups. If you are not participating in small group of devoted Christ-followers, you are missing a crucial way God would move in your life. This fall, we are excited to offer several ways we can connect with one another, especially during this difficult season.

Community Groups
at Trinity come into existence, and continue together organically, according to the desires of the group itself. Many times, staff help “matchmake” open groups with people interested in joining a group. Community Groups are open-ended, and each group decides what they want to study or discuss. Staff love to recommend or review potential resources. We also recommend making use of the “Sermon Discussion Questions” provided in each Friday email for that week’s sermon. Community Groups focus on relationship and encouragement of each other. Community Groups will re-launch the week beginning September 13. Sign up here!
Huddles
are groups of 3 or more people (same gender, or mixed gender) who choose to gather 8-10 weeks per semester. When you sign up you’ll be matched with others who are also interested in this limited time commitment group. Huddles are a great way to get to know new people who are interested in Jesus. Huddles discus that week’s sermon using the “Sermon Discussion Questions” provided in each Friday email, and commit to pray for one another. Huddles will “kick off” the week beginning September 13.
