Dear Trinity Church family,

As the year draws to a close, I want to thank you. Thank you for sharing in God’s work of renewal by grace. He has done great things! Through your financial support, Deeper is becoming a reality. Here are a few of the year’s highlights that encourage us, as your pastors, most:

Deeper Leaders

  • A warm, grace-filled congregation growing in love for Christ and others.

  • God’s provision of our two new pastors and worship director to help lead us.

  • Growing enthusiasm for our Emotionally Healthy Discipleship course and Spiritual Formation Practices.

  • Strong class of new elders and deacons elected, ordained and installed with another class completing their training.

  • Elder retreat for fellowship, prayer and planning

  •  A sense among many that God is present and at work.

Deeper Ministries

  • The addition of 51 communing and non-communing members.

  • 91 Trinity Presbyterian Preschool students representing 72 families of our church and community.

  • The welcome of hundreds into TrinKids and its expansion with TrinKids Home.

  • Over 85 middle and high school students engaged through our revitalized Student Ministry.

  • Wonderful Women’s Ministry 2019 kickoff and multi-week sessions with Julie Sparkman.

  • 30% increase in giving to Missions

Deeper Spaces

  • Formation and progress of our Building Committee.

  • Final architectural plans ready for bid.

  • Anticipated groundbreaking in spring of 2020

For many 2019 has been a year of great struggle—physically, emotionally, relationally, financially and spiritually. Your generosity has enabled us as a church to come alongside one another and our neighbors in need.

As we prepare to break ground on our new building, our financial position as a church has never been stronger. Our elders, with the help of our deacons and development team, are committed to stewarding our resources well and are confident that God will provide. As such, we are prepared to take on a responsible amount of additional debt to complete this project. Together our giving can significantly decrease the debt needed and help us remain financially strong for the future.

Did you know that historically we receive as much as 20% or more of our annual giving in December? As you reflect on the ways God has blessed you this year, please consider how you might be a blessing to others as you pray, serve, share and encourage one another to go Deeper with Christ and for others.

For details on giving options, including online gifts, stocks and securities, and more, please visit trinitytuscaloosa.org/give or email Ruth Gray (rgray@trinitytuscaloosa.org). We are humbled and grateful for whatever amount you might contribute.

With great hope for God’s work in 2020 and great love for you,

Richard, for all.

P.S. It remains a privilege to serve as one of your pastors.
