Newcomers
How many conversations have you had recently with friends regarding whom they’ve reconnected with via the internet and the social networking tool called Facebook? If we are honest, all of us have a deep longing to connect… to know and be known… to love and be loved. We were made for a spiritual connection with God (our need for transcendence), a relational connection with others (our need for community), and a purposeful connection with a vitally important cause (our need for significance).

But left to ourselves, we naturally tend to hide and keep our distance from God and others. At Trinity, we believe that acknowledging our sinfulness and trusting in Jesus and His finished work on the cross brings us into a relationship with the God who made and loves us. Thus, we are enabled to connect with Him, love Him and enjoy Him both now and forever.
We also believe that this connection with God cannot be sustained apart from connecting with His community – the church. But, many of us have been hurt and disappointed in our efforts to connect with other believers. Trinity is by no means a perfect church, but we work diligently to love and care for one another. Our desire is that you find authentic community and friends who will genuinely care. We want to embody Jesus’ call to community: “By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:35).
Lastly, as we connect with others in the body of Christ, we discover how to connect meaningfully with God’s work. All of us crave a purpose in life… a cause that we deem worthy of our sacrifice and investment. God calls us his “masterpiece” … (Ephesians 2:10) that He created to do good works. You have gifts and talents that God wants to us to extend His kingdom and build His church.
If you are looking to strengthen your vertical connection with God, your horizontal connection with others, and your connection with God’s purpose for your life, then you might want to check out our community of faith. We hope that you’ll find Trinity to be a place of connection and that you’ll sense God’s call and join with us in life's adventure of expecting great things from God and attempting great things for God.
